FAQ
WHEN IS MY PAYMENT DUE?
Unless we are booking a wedding or event, which requires a deposit to secure the date, payment is typically due the day of the shoot. Secure payments and invoices can be made through Square, but I also take payments through Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check, making transactions flexible and hassle-free.
HOW ARE IMAGES DELIVERED?
I deliver all photos via DropBox. All individual files are labeled with the corresponding project/event and may be shared and downloaded from any device.
All images are formatted to JPEGs sized at 2000 pixels on longest side and 300dpi for top quality; alternative sizes & file formats are available on request.
Please note: raw files will NOT be delivered under any circumstance. Images will be available for download for up to two years in case they are lost. It’s important to save your images immediately upon delivery, and always advisable to store them on multiple devices.
HOW FAR WILL I TRAVEL?
It is an absolute pleasure of mine to take photos for a living and I am open to traveling. I will generally drive up to 40 miles for free, but any further will be subject to a travel fee.
CANCELATION POLICY?
I understand this is a fast-paced world, and unexpected things can happen. Please try to reach out for rescheduling or cancelations at least 24 hours before our scheduled shoot.
If our appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours from the scheduled time, any payments are non-refundable,
*NOTE: This policy does not apply to bad weather conditions or natural disasters. I work with my clients to reschedule at the next available opportunity at no additional cost.
WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE PHOTOS?
Daniel Barrett Photography retains copyright to the images unless special arrangements are made and additional licensing fees are paid.
Only the original client is licensed to use the images, and that license is non-transferable. For real estate, if the client is a homeowner and later decides to hire an agent, that agent would need to re-license the images to use them. Agents may not transfer the license of images to another listing agent without relicense fees.
